GRAPES: 100% Sangiovese
PRODUCTION AREA: Loreto Aprutino, Montesilvano. This is an area  which goes from the Adriatic Sea Coast to the high Mountains of Gran Sasso (2910 mt. a.s.l.) and Maiella (2692 mt.a.s.l.) amongst the highest mountains of the Appennini Chain. Here the distance between the coast and the high mountains is no more than 40 km creating a micro-climate with sharp temperature excursions particularly suitable to the vine growing
ALCHOLIC FERMENTATION: skin contact for 10 / 15 days at 28° C in steel tanks
MATURING/REFINING: In steel tanks
ALCOHOL: 12.5 % by vol.
COLOUR: Light ruby red color
BOUQUET: Quite aromatic, with hints of cherry alongside the typical savoury aromas of thyme and rosemary.
FLAVOUR: The palate is medium bodied, with fine acid structure and nicely drying tannins without being aggressive
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 18° C
BEST WITH: Sangiovese is well known as a wine for simple meats. Perfect with a sirloin steak as well as with spaghetti bolognese.
